Excellent for my mid-sized dog

I tried the typical holding a leash while riding my bike and that did not work. We have a very energetic, mid-sized dog who loves to run and pull. I ran across this item while researching the best methods of riding with a dog. Tested it out a few times, along with a harness I picked up and it has worked out great so far! The only problem that I have ran across, which is no problem of the item itself, is that my seat post on the bike turns when she pulls hard. So I just need to tighten up my seat post so that doesn't happen.
The only minor complaint I have with the item itself, is that the leash built into it is a bit short for my dog. It would be perfect for a larger dog. I had to add a short extension to the end of it so it didn't constantly pull up on the harness. Once I added that, we've had a blast riding. I had to add about 4" for it to be perfect to keep her right on my side, but I added about a 12" extension so she can sit a little further to the side as she hasn't got used to the sound of shifting gears and such, so she's a bit weary of the bike currently. It's even better because if I get to tired, she can pull me so I don't have to pedal! Lazy, I know.
I would highly recommend this item to anyone looking to ride with their dog. Just remember to pick up a harness to avoid constant tugging and pulling on your dog's neck.
Good but has some issues

We have two young 80-90 pound Giant Schnauzers. We use these every day. EXCEPT one of the batons we purchased (not at the same time and from Gulf Coast Pet Supplies), the "metal" snap clip for the harness/collar snapped and broke allowing our dog to go free (thankfully, well behaved and came right back) and then today the blue cord on the wand gave way, again allowing our dog to run free. Both of these issues happened on the same baton. The other has given us no trouble whatsoever and our dogs love to run next to us.
A warning with those with big, powerful dogs: the dogs CAN pull you off course. And the clamp can swivel some (not so much a big deal). Our dogs ran besides our bike on leash before we got the Walky Dogs and we MUCH prefer the Walky Dog. We are now trying to purchase just the baton.
Certainly isn't a perfect product (thus 4 stars - the missing star for the faulty baton) but certainly better than running your dog with a leash and your bike.
works well

Great for exercising your dog and staying safe, it attaches easily with the included tool, keeps the dog at a safe distance, detaches easily. It has 3 springs inside, you can take springs out depending on the strength and size of your dog. I use two springs for my medium size dog. I highly recommend this!
Fantastic product!!!

My dog and I have a great time now that I don't have to fight the leash while we are cycling. I was worried about it working for us because she is only 18 lbs, but the right harness and a small extension worked perfectly. I would suggest this product for anyone and everyone wanting to exercise with their Fido. Makes me feel safe that I won't accidently run her over!
Best for very small dogs

This product is designed to clamp to your bike's seat post, but my 40 lb dog is able to pull hard enough to, repeatedly, both (a) turn the clamp around the seat post, and (b) turn the seat post within its housing. I've applied as much torque as I'm able to tighten everything down, but the product just isn't stable enough to consistently stand up to my fairly small dog.
